Academic Year Schedule 2006-07
The required Academic Year Meetings are an extension of the Summer Workshop. These six Saturday Meetings are designed to support and enhance the participants’ ability to integrate information technology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and pedagogy in their classroom environments. Each 3-hour session held at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories is another opportunity to develop the collaborative and social networks that started during the Summer Workshop. The content of the sessions includes hands-on instruction in the latest emerging technologies, discussions on lesson plan implementation and resources for teachers, as well as preparation for the final Workshop event, the Showcase in May.
