Research Results

This section contains all of the conclusive and culminating products of our entire program.

Raw Data

Most scientific researchers do not make their raw data available to a wide audience. Usually it is sufficient to use analyzed results and conclusions for publication and wide distribution. Here all of the raw data generated in the biotechnology lab portion of this project is provided. This un-manipulated database can be a valuable and useful teaching tool. It can supplement biotechnology lab activities by providing additional data for an expanded analysis. Alternatively, it can be part of an entirely virtual biotechnology lab. Navigate to the Raw Data for a full listing of ALL mussel samples and corresponding images of gels, DNA sequencing trace files, and text files of sequences.

Scientific Findings

The MBB program scientists analyzed all of the raw data from the previous section. Navigate to the Scientific Findings for products that contain the final analysis and conclusions.

Science Education Findings

The MBB program brought scientists and science teachers together to do scientific research. Analysis of the teachers’ learning experience in this unique setting is reported as Science Education Findings.
